The Four Elements — Solo Piano (2026 Revised Edition)
The Four Elements is a work for solo piano in four movements: Water, Earth, Air, and Fire. Flowing patterns, shifting harmonies, and contrasting textures give each element its own musical character.
I wrote and premiered this piece in 2009, at thirteen years old, for an Earth Day service at Hollywood United Methodist Church. It was my first composition, created with the encouragement of my teacher, Richard Warne, to whom it is dedicated.
Much of the original performance grew from improvisation, with a handwritten manuscript serving as a map. This 2026 Revised Edition draws on the recording of that premiere to give the music a fuller written form, while leaving room for each pianist's own expression. Seventeen years later, I'm happy to share it for others to explore.
Your download includes

Make it your own—and share it
If you learn a passage, a movement, or the complete work, I'd love to hear your interpretation. Share a video and tag me on Instagram @dant3luna or send me a link directly. A practice-room excerpt is just as welcome as a finished performance.
Planning a performance?
If you perform any part of The Four Elements publicly, I'd appreciate an email at dantelunamusic@gmail.com with the performance date, venue and location, and movement(s) performed. If available, please include a copy or photo of the concert program. These details help me keep accurate performance records for ASCAP—and I'd love to know where the music is being played.
Thank you for giving this music a life beyond my own hands.
