The Parenting Pause
Simple tools for a more peaceful home.
Simple tools for a more peaceful home.
A 6-week online journey to nurture calm, connection and joy, one breath at a time. Self-paced learning with two online live group sessions along the way.
Do you ever feel like you are constantly juggling? Between the meals, the school runs and the endless to-do lists, the days can often feel like a blur. Before you know it, you are reacting to your children rather than truly being with them. We have all been there, and we have all felt that moment when we "flip our lids" along with our children.
The Parenting Pause is designed to help you find the "pause button" in the middle of that chaos. This is not about being a "perfect" parent (because that does not exist). It is about being more aware, more patient and more connected.
This is not about becoming a different parent. It is about coming home to the one you already are.
By the end of our six weeks together, you will start to catch yourself before the snap, not after. You will feel the difference between reacting from a frazzled place and responding from a steady one. You will start meeting things differently.
Your child will start to name their feelings instead of only acting them out. And underneath all of it, you will be passing something on. A way of being with feelings, with yourself and with each other, that your children will carry into their own lives one day.
This is a hybrid course, designed specifically for busy lives. You get the flexibility of self-paced learning combined with deep, personal support from me.
Using a curriculum inspired by Louise Shanagher from Creative Mindfulness and Ciaran Ivanovic from Mindful Kids, we will move through two transformative phases:
Not at all. Some parents join because family life feels overwhelming, while others simply want to feel more present, connected and emotionally aware in their parenting. You do not need to be at breaking point to benefit.
The course has been created with busy parents in mind. The weekly content is bitesize and flexible, so you can fit it around your life rather than needing huge blocks of time. Even small moments of practice can make a difference.
There is no "falling behind" here. Parenting Pause is about gentle progress, not perfection. The course is designed to support you where you are and you will have weekly check ins from me along the way.
Yes. The practices and tools adapt beautifully across ages. Whether your children are toddlers, in primary school, or older, the way you bring mindfulness into family life will shift, but the foundations stay the same. The core skills of staying steady, listening well and helping children name their feelings are useful at every age.
The online live sessions are encouraged because they offer support and connection, but they are not essential. Replays will be available if you cannot attend live. The replays will contain the taught part only and not the group talking session, to allow everyone to talk freely.
You will leave with practical tools to help you respond rather than react, support your child through big feelings, create more calm and connection at home and build a shared emotional language as a family.
Yes. One of the key parts of this course is the weekly private check in with me. This gives you space to ask questions, reflect on what is coming up and receive encouragement throughout the six weeks.
Your access to the course will remain for as long as the course is live, which I plan to be a long time! You can revisit the materials whenever you like, and you are warmly invited to join future live rounds free of charge as a founding member.
