Who it's for: parents whose child has an EHC plan and an annual review coming up.

Learning outcomes. Parents will be able to:

• understand the review timetable: advice sent 2 weeks before the meeting, the report 2 weeks after, the decision within 4 weeks, at least 15 days to comment on amendments, and the final plan within 8 weeks
• write a clear, evidence-based parent contribution
• request specific changes to the plan, each linked to evidence
• follow up the meeting in writing and track the authority's decision
• recognise when a decision may be appealable
