Cyclobutrifluram Patent Landscape Analysis

Developed by Syngenta as the active ingredient behind TYMIRIUM® technology, cyclobutrifluram is a novel, low-dose nematicide and Group 7 SDHI fungicide designed for seed and soil applications. Combination development is the largest and most competitive layer, comprising 49 families and naming 39 partner actives, principally held by Qingdao Hailir and Syngenta. The upstream estate comprises five families across compound, crystal form and process and intermediates, all with a grant or national pending reading; seven single-active formulation families are retained.

A total of 57 families have a grant or national pending reading, while 30 families are held by China-based applicants across 13 China-based owner groups—highlighting both the continuing density of protection and the geographic spread of follow-on filing.
