(AfterEffectsプラグイン ) Syndromee Wrapper

sy_Wrapper is an After Effects plugin that wraps text and

artwork around, inside or past any other layer. Pick up to 64

EFFECTOR layers whose alpha is the obstacle, up to 64 WRAPPER

layers to lay out, and confine the result to masks or Area

layers. A picked TEXT layer is cut into real glyphs using After

Effects' own outlines; anything else flows as one element.

Compatible with After Effects 2020 and later.

Windows & macOS - 8 / 16 / 32-bit.

 WHICH FOLDER DO I USE?

--------------------------------------------------------------

 AE 2022+    After Effects 2022 or newer.

         Multi-Frame Rendering enabled - noticeably

         faster on multi-core machines.

 AE 2020-2021  After Effects 2020 and 2021.

         Same effect, without Multi-Frame Rendering.

If you are unsure, use AE 2022+. If the effect does not appear

in the Effects panel after installing it, use AE 2020-2021.

The AE 2022+ and AE 2020-2021 folders each contain:

 - sy_Wrapper.aex     (the Windows plugin)

 - sy_Wrapper.plugin.zip  (the macOS plugin)

Multi-Frame Rendering is built for Windows AND macOS, so the

folder you pick matters on both platforms.

 INSTALLATION - WINDOWS

--------------------------------------------------------------

1. Quit After Effects.

2. Copy sy_Wrapper.aex from the folder you chose into:

   C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects <version>\

   Support Files\Plug-ins\

  You will be asked for administrator permission.

3. Start After Effects. The effect appears under

  Effect > Syndromee Plugin > sy_Wrapper.

 INSTALLATION - macOS

1. Quit After Effects.

2. Unzip sy_Wrapper.plugin.zip. You will get sy_Wrapper.plugin.

3. Copy sy_Wrapper.plugin into:

   /Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/

   Plug-ins/

4. The first launch may warn that the plugin is from an

  unidentified developer. Right-click sy_Wrapper.plugin,

  choose Open, and confirm - or allow it in

  System Settings > Privacy & Security.

5. Start After Effects. The effect appears under

  Effect > Syndromee Plugin > sy_Wrapper.

The macOS build is Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel).

 QUICK START

--------------------------------------------------------------

1. Make a new Solid the size of your comp and apply sy_Wrapper

  to it.

2. Effector Layers > Effector Layer 1: pick the layer you

  want the text to avoid. Its ALPHA is the obstacle.

3. Wrapper Layers > Wrapper Layer 1: pick the text or artwork

  layer to lay out. Turn its own visibility off -

  sy_Wrapper draws it.

4. Layout > Size % and Line Height % set the type.

5. Wrap > Motion chooses how the movement reads:

   Smooth  continuous - a one-pixel effector move shifts

        the type by one pixel.

   Stepped  quantised to a character cell - the type jumps

        a cell at a time, like a terminal readout.

Wrapper Layers > Layout chooses what the artwork is FOR:

   Repeat  the source is a stream - its glyphs are tiled

        to fill every line. A short word becomes a

        field of type.

   Original the source is a design - its own line breaks,

        widths and position are kept, and the effector

        pushes it aside rather than re-flowing it.

        Use this for a paragraph you have already set.

 NOTES

--------------------------------------------------------------

- Each of the first 10 Wrapper Layers has its own Wrapper

 Transform folder - Scale, Rotation, Position X and Y. These

 move the DESIGN, and the effector then acts on the result:

 the wrap is the last thing to happen, so a rotated or moved

 page is still pushed aside by the obstacle.

 In Repeat, all picked layers share one stream, so changing a

 slot's Scale changes the packing of the whole ribbon. Use

 Layout = Original when each layer needs its own independent

 placement.

- Rotating the page in Repeat fills past the frame edges, so

 the corners stay covered at any angle instead of leaving

 black wedges.

- Fill Gaps decides whether the spaces INSIDE a shape count as

 somewhere type may go. Off (the default) the effector is

 treated as one solid outline, so text wraps around a whole

 word; on, it will also flow into the gaps between letters

 and inside a counter.

- The Flow family (Flow, Flow Cascade, Flow Zigzag,

 Flow Jitter) all slide content ALONG the stream and differ only in

 how the amount varies per line. They add, so a cascade with a

 zigzag on top is a staircase that leans. All four need

 "Repeat to Fill" on, or the stream runs out as it scrolls.

- Effector > Matte: use Luminance when the obstacle layer is an

 opaque black-and-white image. On artwork that is already

 shaped by its alpha - white text on transparent, say -

 Luminance and Alpha give the same result by definition.

- Area layers and masks restrict where the flow may live at

 all. They are a permission, not an obstacle.
