Sacred Scenery of the Western Paradise 西方极乐世界圣景

The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, as described by Shakyamuni Buddha during his lifetime, is a sacred place where the four great Pure Lands and nine grades of lotus flowers are reborn. Beings there who perform good deeds, cultivate themselves, uphold precepts, and make vows in their lifetime are reborn in the Western Pure Land at the moment of death. At the moment of their rebirth, Amitabha Buddha personally comes to receive them. There are also tales of Bodhisattvas receiving the deceased with a powerful light; the process takes only an instant. Usually, these beings are free from illness and suffering at the time of rebirth, their bodies are soft, and sometimes the house is filled with fragrance! Those reborn in the Western Pure Land have eternal life; there are no three evil realms in the Pure Land. They have escaped the cycle of rebirth! All the streets in the Pure Land are paved with gold, the trees are tall, and when the wind blows, they make a clear, melodious sound. All the Residential attic Pavilion are constructed of gold, silver, lapis lazuli, pearls, and agate. The lotus ponds contain lotus buildings as large as wheels. The water in the Eight Merits Pond naturally adjusts its temperature, making it very cool and pleasant. On rainy days, mandalas bloom. The sky is often filled with strangely colored birds singing beautiful, melodious songs! Most importantly, there is the supportive environment of learning and practicing together with the Three Saints, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and other virtuous beings of the West. In an instant, one can also visit other Buddha lands and Pure Lands!
