How it works:1. A webhook receives the new order (from your shop platform or an integration service that can send a webhook) with the customer's name, email, order number, and the items ordered.2. The order fields are normalized into one consistent shape.3. Totals are calculated from the items, plus shipping, discount and tax only if the order itself includes them - nothing is added that wasn't actually part of the sale.4. A clean PDF invoice is generated with your seller details, invoice number and date. Customer names and item names are escaped, so odd characters can't break the layout.5. The invoice is emailed straight to the customer, with their name, order number, and total - no manual work.

Tested in n8n 2.39 (self-hosted) with four sample orders (with shipping and tax, with a discount, with neither, and with special characters): totals, invoice HTML and the PDF attachment were verified. The PDF conversion and email steps run once you connect your own accounts. Invoice requirements differ by country - the setup guide explains what to check for your region.

Requirements: a free or paid n8n account (cloud or self-hosted), a shop or order form that can send a webhook, an account with an HTML-to-PDF conversion API of your choice, and an email account for sending the invoice.
