The Faces of Courage series is an introduction to the full Rising Scholars of African American History & Culture curriculum—a program created to empower African American students by deepening their understanding of themselves through the study of African and African American experiences and contributions to the world. It’s the first step in a larger journey toward seeing history in its fullness and truth.
