CGAU Test 3 P26F Strategic Blueprint
AUD Test 3 Strategic Blueprint — Your 8-week plan to 23 July
The foundation of the Test 3 study build. Tells you what to focus on, in what order, and what to expect as each topic pack releases between now and the exam.
What the Blueprint is. An 11-page strategic document that tells you what the Auditing Test 3 will most likely test, what your Test 1 and Test 2 have just taken off the table, and how to spend the eight Saturday coaching weeks between now and 23 July 2026. It isn't guesswork: the prediction is built on nine past Test 3 sittings and then cross-checked against the IAC board exam itself — because the same SAICA syllabus drives both, and what the IAC emphasises (client acceptance, CAATs, going concern, the reportable-irregularity/NOCLAR distinction) is exactly where this paper aims. It's the analytical foundation every topic pack in this series is built on.
The 8-week plan. The Blueprint maps every Saturday session to a topic, a deliverable, and a phase — 70% building, 20% revising, 10% on a full timed mock. Topic packs release on the same schedule, in the order students actually need them: (1) Client Acceptance & Continuance, (2) Risk of Material Misstatement, (3) Audit Strategy & the Combined Approach, (4) IT Controls & CAATs, (5) Substantive Procedures, (6) Completion — Going Concern & Subsequent Events, (7) Reporting & Reportable Irregularity, (8) a full timed mock.
What comes with each topic pack. Three core artefacts in every pack: a topic guide (PDF) teaching the principle from first principles, a mock question (PDF) written in authentic Milpark Test 3 style, and a four-zone solution workbook (Excel) with live formulas and per-line mark annotations. Where a topic warrants it, the pack also includes additional aids — for example, Topic 1 (Client Acceptance) builds the threat → significance → safeguard engine that powers every ethics and independence mark across the whole paper, the single highest-return habit you can drill.
