This pattern plays with the Hashtag symbol in an improvised manner. So it seemed appropriate to call it Hashtag Improv. The great thing about this design is there is minimal measuring! It contains instructions for two items: a quilt and a cushion.
When designing the pattern, I wanted it to be something that could use up stash or any pre-cuts you might have lying around that you've not been able to cut into yet. The baby quilt calls for 10 inch squares and the cushion for 2.5 inch strips. So if you have any Layer Cakes or Jelly Rolls lying about this could be the perfect use for them!
The quilt is a baby / lap quilt size of approximately 43 inches square and is made up of sixteen blocks. As this is a repeating block pattern, you could easily add more blocks to make a bigger quilt.
The cushion uses a similar technique to the quilt block. Size wise it is perfect for a 20 inch cushion insert.
