Jupiter Loop - Not A Name
Formed in 1998, Jupiter Loop are a British trip-hop collective whose music drifts between the sensual, the cinematic, and the hypnotic. Blending sultry female vocals from Izzy Q. with experimental guitars, lyrics and production by Sean Woodward. Their sound inhabits the liminal spaces between genres, being equally suited to late nights, long drives, or solitary wandering through your own thoughts.
Born from the cultural crosscurrents of the late ’90s, the band drew early inspiration from both the Bristol trip-hop scene and the evolving pulse of Detroit dub techno. Their first breakthrough came in May 1999, when they unveiled the track “Aquavoda” at the H₂O Festival in Oslo. The following month, internet specialists ICE2000 commissioned the group to create original music for their website, cementing Jupiter Loop’s reputation as forward-thinking sonic innovators.
