Our protagonist is trying to write a story - one where he (or she) can be the hero and find true love. But imagination is a tricky customer, and this one is rather prone to running away. And it does - into a land of pirates, vampires, Shakespearean characters intent on swordfighting, loads of peril, impossible missions and the occasional shark.

In this sample, we meet Henry trying to write a romantic story, and it's not going to plan. Read on!

Themes: Storytelling, teenage romance/angst, imagination & creative aspirations, playing the hero, finding yourself. Infused with ridiculous peril at every turn.
