Rename layer by BeneG

Windows:

1. Open Adobe After Effects.
2. Go to the folder:
3. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects [version]\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels\
4. Copy the file rename layer by BeneG.jsxbin into this folder.
5. Restart After Effects.
6. In After Effects, go to the top menu:
7. Window > rename layer by BeneG.jsxbin
8. The script will open as a panel, ready to use.

Mac:

1. Open Adobe After Effects.
2. Navigate to:
3. /Applications/Adobe After Effects [version]/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
4. (or: right-click the AE app → Show Package Contents → Contents → Resources → Scripts → ScriptUI Panels)
5. Paste the file rename layer by BeneG.jsxbin into this folder.
6. Restart After Effects.
7. From the top menu, select:
8. Window > rename layer by BeneG.jsxbin
9. The script will open as a panel inside AE.

✅ Tip:

Make sure the file has the .jsxbin extension and is placed exactly in the ScriptUI Panels folder — otherwise it won't appear under the Window menu.
