Rooted Outside Toolkit
What it is
Rooted Outside Toolkit is a gentle, OT-informed guide to nature-based play matched to your child's state, your space, and your capacity. The whole approach is read the body first, choose the play second - so outside time becomes a regulation tool you can actually use on purpose, not one more thing to plan. A yard, a porch, or a windowsill all count.
What you'll learn
- How to read your child's state first, then pick play that meets it - calming, organizing, or energy-releasing
- A sensory menu of simple outdoor options that need no props and almost no planning
- How to "grade the play" up or down for sensory-seekers and sensory-sensitive kids
- Ways to bring the outside in when you can't get out - small space, hard days
Who it's for
Parents of babies, toddlers, and young children who've noticed their child seems calmer or more regulated outside, but aren't sure how to use that intentionally - especially in a small space or on low-capacity days.
