4. QLA-THE-004 — Thematic Analysis and Reflexive Thematic Analysis

Description:

This Master Prompt w ould focus on systematically identifying, developing, refining and interpreting patterns of meaning across qualitative datasets. It would guide researchers through familiarization, initial coding, candidate-theme generation, theme review, theme definition and naming, thematic mapping, representative quotation selection and development of an interpretive narrative.

It would accommodate inductive, deductive, semantic, latent and reflexive thematic approaches while requiring researchers to distinguish codes, categories, subthemes and themes. Particular attention would be given to the researcher’s interpretive role rather than treating themes as entities that simply “emerge” automatically from the data. Thematic analysis is especially prominent throughout the uploaded collection, including studies explicitly using Braun and Clarke's methodology and reflexive thematic analysis.
