Module-10 Basic Schedules & Legends

In this module, we’re exploring one of the most powerful — and often underestimated — features of Revit: Schedules and Legends.

Revit is a true Building Information Model, and that means every element you place carries data. Schedules allow us to extract, organise, and present that data in a structured, tabular format. Whether you’re quantifying equipment, listing air terminals, summarising electrical loads, or preparing documentation for consultants, schedules give you a live, coordinated window into the model.

Alongside schedules, we’ll also look at Legends, which allow us to present symbolic or graphical representations of components — perfect for drawing keys, equipment symbols, and standardised documentation.

By the end of this theory section, you’ll understand how Revit manages data, how schedules are built, and how legends complement them in your drawing set.
