Phantoms, Fears, and Folklore By: Ginny Davis

Phantoms, Fears, and Folklore is a collection of four short tales that blend psychological tension, supernatural horror, and dark sensuality. Each story opens a “door” into human vulnerability, fear, and the unseen forces that stalk us.
The dialogue in these stories felt natural and emotional, grounding the supernatural scenes in humanity. My overactive, scary imagination loved and strongly disliked every story. In a good way. It’s like a homage to classic horror and modern anxiety when looking at technology, trauma, grief, and inherited evil.
Some endings felt abrupt, leaving me wanting so much more. The sexual and violent elements, while effective for tone, may be intense for sensitive readers.
If you love short stories that incorporate anthologies, fear, folklore, and modern paranoia, check this book out.
