Sykia Beach Sithonia from above - Halkidiki Greece
Sykia (village) is in fact the biggest settlement on Sithonia, and it’s 2 km away from the coast. On the other hand, the Sykia by the beach is very small place, and it’s actually a big beach with a few accommodation facilities by it, a mini market, a restaurant and a pizzeria. The beach itself is very long (about 1,5 km) and wide, with fine sand both in the water and on the shore. It’s been given a Blue flag, with a shoal in some of its parts which are ideal for families with children, while most of its water entrances have a gradual depth with no long shoal. Its only drawback is that there is no natural shade anywhere, and toilets and showers are only available in the bars located on the beach.
