Rwandan folding Heart Shopping Bag

I purchased this item at a Fair Trade Cooperative of craftswomen in Kigali, Rwanda while Sharon and I were there in September 2025 for the first UCI World Cycling Championships ever held on the continent.

This handy folding bag is fashioned by women in the sewing shop next door with fabric from next-door Democratic Republic of Congo (which Rwandans we met considered superior to their own). A zipper holds the folded bag for handy use. (Note: the zipper is a bit tricky, so I wouldn't recommend folding and zippering and unzippering and unfolding on the regular.)
