QīngLín is deep into an intense home workout, sweat pouring as he pushes his body past its limits. A sharp pain stabs his chest—but he shrugs it off. It’s not the first time exhaustion has crept in, and tonight, quitting isn’t an option. Shirt off, breath heavy, he keeps going. Then everything unravels. Midway through his ab routine, the pain explodes—crushing, unbearable. QīngLín gasps, staggers, and collapses hard onto the floor. His body trembles… then falls terrifyingly still.

Moments later, TíngHui rushes in to a nightmare: no breathing, no pulse. With no time to hesitate, he strips away QīngLín’s clothes and launches into CPR, delivering shock after shock with the AED in a desperate fight against time.

At last, QīngLín jolts back to life—air floods his lungs, his heart beats again. Relief lasts only a heartbeat. Without warning, TíngHui’s hands close around QīngLín’s throat. The second heartbeat fades as QīngLín is pulled back into darkness, his revival turning into something far more dangerous.
