The Sand Dollar Lounge, a longtime icon of live music and craft cocktails, will open a second location within the Plaza Hotel and Casino this fall, bringing late-night live music and entertainment-only venues to downtown Las Vegas.

In 1976, the Sand Dollar Blues Bar opened and almost instantly became one of Las Vegas' most iconic bars. Some of the greatest blues legends, as well as many other famous musicians, have graced the stage for more than 30 years. The likes of Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and even Mick Jagger jumped on the sand dollar while in Las Vegas. In 2007, the Sand Dollar Blues Bar closed, but it was revived in 2009 when the Sand Dollar Lounge opened on Spring Mountain Road, which celebrates the tradition and history of the iconic Vegas venue. In 2015, the Sand Dollar Lounge was acquired by current owners Nathan Grates and Anthony Jamieson, with the goal of reclaiming and constructing its original shine.

Now the iconic site will open a second stop, The Sand Dollar Downtown, at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, which is a similar iconic Vegas destination. This place dates back to the Rat Pack era and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Sand Dollar Downtown will be in a nearly 5,000-square-foot space adjacent to Plaza's casino floor. Plaza plans to offer an entire menu of handmade cocktails made from Pop Up Pizza. Live music will be on stage on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, for both local and other major performers.

"The Plaza is known for its vintage Vegas characteristics and is proud to partner with legendary Vegas venues such as Sand Dollar," said Jonathan Josel, CEO of Plaza Hotels & Casino. "The Plaza's Sand Dollar opening will create a late-night destination for live music like no other place in downtown Las Vegas."

"We are thrilled to expand The Sand Dollar heritage into downtown Las Vegas with The Plaza," said co-owner Anthony Jamison. 카지노사이트 모음

"Sand Dollar Downtown will focus on recreating the classic era of electric blues and rock 'n' roll 'n' roll 'n' downtown hallways," Nathan Grates added.
