September Shawl
The September Shawl is a narrow triangular shaped shawl designed to have the ultimate squish factor. I really wanted this shawl to not only look beautiful, but also be a really engaging knit. You will get to explore a multitude of textured stitch patterns and have plenty of opportunity to change colour!
Yarn:
The sample for the wrap used a total of 448yds / 409m of DK weight yarn.
The pattern calls for 1 main colour and 6 contrast colour of DK weight yarn.
The sample used the Autumn Ember set from Moonglow Yarn Co on Moonglow Merino DK (231yds / 211m per 100g) (100% superwash merino).
The actual yarn amounts used are:
Main Colour: 69yds / 63m (30g), CC1: 53yds / 48m (23g), CC2: 55yds / 50m (24g), CC3: 90yds / 82m (39g), CC4: 58yds / 53m (25g), CC5: 49yds / 45m (21g), CC6: 74yds / 68m (32g).
Recommended Needle Size:
32” 4.5mm (US Size 7) circular needle, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 sts / 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch knitted flat.
Finished Measurements: One Size – Width: 10.75” (27cm), Length: 82”(208cm)
