Textured Stitch bib and washcloth in 8ply/DK - Leigh

This matching 8ply/DK Bib and Washcloth are worked in an easy, knit and purl textured stitch, with a garter stitch border. This design will suit either a baby girl or boy.

 

My Bib and Washcloth set has been worked in 8ply yarn but this pattern can easily be adapted to suit other yarns.

 

Bib width: 16cm [6¼ ins].

Bib length (approx, excluding strap): 18cm [7 ins].

 

Washcloth width: 22cm [8¾ ins].

Washcloth length (approx): 22cm [8¾ ins].

 

Yarn required: 2 balls Lincraft Cotton 8ply, 50g balls@100m.

 

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing in ends.

 

Also required: A button for Bib.

 

Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
