The Abraham Number Socks! (White Christmas Inspired) - PDF Knitting Pattern

Christmas is a wonderful time of year in the Almon household; every Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas decorations, have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and watch the 1954 Irving Berlin classic, White Christmas. We’ve watched the movie so many times that renditions of its show-stopping numbers can be heard in the house year-round. This year, we thought we’d show our love for this movie by releasing a four-pattern White Christmas inspired collection.

These socks are inspired by the Abraham number, the fastest-paced number in the whole movie, where Vera-Ellen taps her toes off in an amazing bright yellow dress. The foot features a small bow design, inspired by the bow Vera wears in her hair, the leg features purl bands similar to the bands around the waist of Vera’s dress, and the short, rolled cuff is inspired by the rolled neck on her dress. Together, they form a wonderful pair of anklets, perfect to keep any tapper’s toes warm.

So grab your tap shoes, play that music, and let’s get knitting!
