THE COLOUR RECIPE LAYER
Purple is the hardest mix in watercolour — too red and it's beetroot, too blue and it's dead. Each lavender's recipe card samples the painted reference and gives you 5 swatches: two purples, a soft green for stems, a silvery grey, and an accent. Mix hints tell you which pigments to use.

TIPS FOR PAINTING THEM
Build the purple in layers — a first pale wash, then a darker layer once dry, finally tiny dotted touches for the individual buds. Stems are silvery-green: a touch of warm grey into your green wash. Perfect for watercolour, but they work beautifully as colouring pages too if that's your thing.
