TIPS FOR PAINTING THEM

Apple skin reads as glossy when you leave a reserved white highlight unpainted. Russet patches are dry-brushed warm grey over the dried base colour, not painted wet-on-wet. The blush on a Cox blends from yellow into red on one side of the apple — paint yellow first, drop red wet-on-wet into one side.
