The IL-18D was the final version of this aircraft. This is a soviet four turboprops for mid-large range which can carry up to 120 pax plus baggage. The first flight of the IL-18 was officially in 1957, however a prototype with piston engines flew in 1946 but then was abandoned the following year, understanding that pistons were about to disappear in airliners. Like most of the aircraft built by soviets, the IL-18 was designed to been operated on rugged fields and very bad weather conditions, presents in many places of the former Soviet Union. Its solid structure impelled by the massive AI-20M engines makes possible its use for really heavy duties, beyond the regular use it was designed for. The IL-18 is one of the most long-live commercial aircraft in the aviation history, and one of the fastest turboprop airliners.

This model was designed taking special care in the flight dynamics. As this kind of machine usually needs a crew of four, the systems have been simplified for better usage for one simmer. Many failures can occur due to bad procedures, so it is recommended to read the documentation provided for a better flight experience.

This is a virtual replica (software) of the actual aircraft, and only works over MS Flight Simulators platforms or subsequent developments. This is a standalone product, but can be used to update any of the previous versions, if applies. It is compatible with FS9, FSX and FSX:SE; and uses 78MB of extra space in the Hard Drive.
