Catch the escaped monkeys and save the zoo! This FREE 2nd grade even and odd numbers escape room is a fun, engaging way for students to practice 2.OA.C.3. Choose the self-checking Google Forms™ version or the printable version (color and black & white).

THE STORY

It's the grand opening of the Chibi City Zoo, but three mischievous monkeys have escaped! Students visit 3 zoo locations: the Lion's Den, the Penguin Pool, and the Elephant Enclosure. At each location they solve even and odd number questions to crack the code and catch a monkey.

HOW IT WORKS

- Students solve 3 questions at each clue.

- Each answer has a letter (A, B, or C).

- The 3 letters make the code that opens the lock.

- Digital version: the Google Form checks each code, so students can only move on when the code is correct. A final lock code ends the mission!

- Showing even numbers with two equal addends (example: 7 + 7 = 14)
