Cocktail Costing Calculator Spreadsheet, Bar Pour Cost & Menu Pricing Template, Batch Calculator, Menu Engineering, Digital Download
Know exactly what every drink costs you and what it should sell for. This cocktail costing calculator turns the prices you actually pay into a pour cost %, a suggested menu price and a profit figure for every cocktail, pour and batch on your menu. It was built for working bars: it's metric-first, ready for Canada and quick to set up.
What it does for you
- Costs every cocktail to the millilitre. Pick ingredients from your own library and enter quantities. The drink cost, pour cost %, gross profit per drink and tax-inclusive price calculate instantly.
- Suggests a menu price. Set a target pour cost for each category (classic, signature, zero-proof, wine, draught and more). The sheet then suggests a price rounded to your step, for example the next $0.50.
- Counts the real cost of house prep. Cost your simple syrup, honey syrup, ginger syrup and fresh-pressed juices from raw ingredients and the measured yield. They flow straight into your specs.
- Includes usable yield. Every bottle, case and keg has a yield %, so spillage, citrus juice yield and line loss are in the numbers.
- Batches with confidence. Scale any spec to litres or to a number of serves, with optional pre-dilution. You get the batched serve size, cost per serve and how many bottles to pull.
- Prices neat pours, wine and draught. Spirits by the 29 ml (1 oz) or any pour, wine by the glass, sparkling and pints, plus pours per bottle or keg.
- Shows which drinks earn their spot. Paste in units sold from your POS. Menu engineering classes every drink as a Star, Plowhorse, Puzzle or Dog with a suggested next step, and plots them on a chart.
- Flags rising prices. Enter the previous price you paid and increases of 5% or more turn red.
Canada-ready (and easy to change)
- GST/HST by province, with Ontario HST 13% as the default. You can show prices before tax or tax-inclusive.
- Bottle presets for 375, 750, 1000, 1140 and 1750 ml, and a column for the licensee or wholesale price you paid.
- An optional Ontario minimum drink price check based on O. Reg. 746/21, s. 26. The minimums are editable in Settings. This is a planning aid, not legal advice.
- Prefer oz, or a different currency? Switch the measure to oz and set the currency label to CAD, USD, EUR, GBP or AUD in one place.
