yarn requirements
Approximately 907 (1014, 1120, 1227, 1334)[1441, 1548, 1655, 1761] yards fingering weight yarn, shown in Manos Del Uruguay Fino (70% Extrafine Merino/30% Silk, 490 yds/100g) in color Havisham
This pullover is worked seamlessly, in the round, and from the bottom up. The body and sleeves both begin with a fold-over cuff and the neckline is finished with a simple i-cord edging. All of the decreases and increases in this sweater are worked in the eyelet rows for invisible shaping.
This pattern is a sort of hybrid between a raglan and a circular yoke sweater. Most of the decreases in the yoke will happen near invisible raglan seams. There are a few short rows to raise the back neck line, I recommend using the German Short Row method which creates invisible short rows very well.
My sample was worked in the round with 4 skeins of yarn using the helical knitting technique. I chose to do this because I found one of my skeins to be quite different in color and didn’t want to have any obvious differences in color between the yoke and body. If you are also knitting with handprinted yarn I recommend alternating skeins with your preferred method using at least 2 skeins at a time for best results.
