Perfect Export Settings for TikTok (PHONE UPLOAD)

(UPDATE) I’m no longer using these render/export settings. I don’t want to gatekeep anything, but recently I’ve been using a (editing news) upload method during editing.

Here is someone who made a free version of it. I haven’t tested it, so I don’t take any responsibility if you use it.

These settings are still the best for uploading from a "phone".



Due to complications of importing HandBrake presets, I have imported a video of me doing the settings and saving the preset. I mainly use HandBrake because it has fewer errors/crashes and a very cool sharpen filter feature to prevent TikTok compression blurring.

Just make sure to render your final edit with QuickTime ProRes 422 LT to preserve maximum quality before compressing it using HandBrake. If your CC has a sharpen effect, remove it, or just remove the sharpen filter from HandBrake. These settings were calculated with TikTok compression system which showed that they don't re-compress the original file after uploading when using it.

If you want to use Media Encoder, I have a preset file for it just make sure to add sharpen. I can't give an exact amount.

IMPORTANT!|

Don't go over 1080p.

The account country / uploading country affects the video quality.
