Gotas means Raindrops in Spanish, because the colorwork designs reminds me of raindrops on a window in a rainy afternoon.

The Gotas Beanie pattern is easy stranded colorwork.

The pattern for a matching gotas cowl is also available.

The pattern includes useful links to relevant blog posts and video tutorials for complete beginners to colorwork or for people who want to dig deeper and have a better understanding of color dominance.

Why you need this pattern:

They knit super fast, it's worsted weight! So they would make awesome stocking gifts for Christmas. You can personalize them by choosing the recipient favorite colors, or make a bunch of them in red and green, they're gonna love them either way.  White with red or white with green would make a very Christmas themed combination too!
By inverting the colors you can make matching (but different) hats for a special couple too. It totally counts as a gift to keep one for yourself if you give a matching one to your significant other, that's all I'm saying.
