This 10-month Bronze Arts Award programme uses nail art as a creative visual art form.
Learners will explore colour, pattern, design, composition and different nail art techniques while building evidence for all four sections of their Bronze Arts Award.
About this course
This is not a nail technician course and does not teach professional nail services, extensions, acrylic application or salon treatments. The focus is on creativity, experimentation and developing artistic skills.
Learners will need to source their own materials. A suggested low-cost supply list is provided, and many activities can be completed using inexpensive nail polish, practice nails and simple household items.
The monthly projects and assignments are provided as ideas and guidance rather than strict tasks. Learners are welcome to adapt them, explore different techniques or follow their own creative interests, as long as they continue to collect suitable evidence for their Arts Award portfolio.
Throughout the course, learners should keep photographs of their work, experiments and progress, alongside short reflections explaining what they tried, what they learnt and how their skills developed.
