AV Networking Intermediate

The day a switch arrives in the middle of your system

There is a moment in this trade that everybody remembers. You have patched audio for years, you know what a bad cable sounds like, and one day the system arrives with a switch in the middle of it. The console talks to the stage box through that switch. So does the video. So does the control panel on the wall. And when it stops working, none of the things you know how to do are any help, because there is nothing to listen to and nothing to wiggle.
