GCSE Edexcel June 2024 Higher Combined Science Papers Bundle (1/2BH, 1/2CH, 1/2PH with Mark Schemes)

The Edexcel GCSE Combined Science Higher Tier June 2024 papers also consist of two papers each for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with a broader and deeper coverage of content than the Foundation Tier. In Biology, Paper 1H includes detailed study of cells and control, mitosis, the nervous system, genetics including inheritance and DNA, natural selection, evolution, and genetic modification. Paper 2H expands into plant transport systems, hormonal coordination, thermoregulation, circulation, respiration, and ecosystems, including biodiversity and the impact of human activity.

Chemistry Paper 1H covers atomic structure, chemical bonding and the periodic table, chemical and electrolytic changes, extraction of metals, and dynamic equilibria with greater emphasis on calculations and theoretical understanding. Paper 2H includes detailed study of the periodic table groups, reaction rates, energy changes, organic chemistry, and the chemistry of the atmosphere, with applied contexts and data analysis.

Physics Paper 1H addresses conservation of energy, motion and forces, waves, electromagnetic spectrum, radioactivity, and nuclear structure. Paper 2H covers energy transfers, forces in balance, circuits, static electricity, electromagnetism, and the particle model including pressure in gases. The Higher Tier papers feature more extended responses and mathematical questions, targeting grades 4–9, with an emphasis on higher-level reasoning, scientific literacy, and multi-step problem-solving.
