What Lives On in Me — A Family Legacy Reflection Workbook
Every family leaves traces.
They live in names and places, old photographs and familiar recipes, in the expressions we repeat, the ways we care for one another, and the stories that are still told around the table.
What Lives On in Me is a gentle printable reflection workbook created to help you gather some of those traces, explore the connections between generations, and consider what you would like to carry forward.
This is more than a traditional family tree workbook. Alongside names, places and family stories, it makes room for traditions, values, talents, small habits, ways of caring and the curious resemblances that cannot always be seen in a photograph. It also invites you to notice what feels meaningful to preserve, what you may wish to approach differently, and what you hope to pass on.
You do not need a complete family history or a collection of carefully organised records. You can begin with a name, a photograph, a half-remembered story, a place someone once lived, or a recipe that appears at every Christmas. Questions, missing details and uncertain memories belong here too.
Use the workbook quietly on your own, or make parts of it a shared family adventure. Invite parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or others who know the stories. Compare memories, look through old photographs and see what emerges. One question may lead to a conversation, and one discovery may lead to another.
The pages move gently from gathering family stories, to noticing the threads that connect different lives, and finally to reflecting on what lives on in you. You can follow them in order, begin wherever curiosity leads you, leave pages blank and return later, or print extra copies for another person, branch or story.
Made for quiet reflection, meaningful conversations and the small discoveries that bring a family story to life, What Lives On in Me offers a place to remember where you come from - and to consider what you want to keep alive.
