Dutch A2 - Exercises with ER and Personal Pronouns
These are two worksheets for learners of Dutch at the A2-level. Students practice the use of er and of the Subject and Object personal pronouns.
Instructions for worksheet 1:
You see two stories and one dialogue. Re-tell the stories and the dialogue so that they look more like everyday language.
Change nouns to ‘er/daar’ (when they indicate a Place) or to subject/object pronouns (when they don’t indicate a Place).
When a sentence contains an indefinite Subject, rewrite it and use ‘er’.
Check your answers with the answer key on the next page.

Change underlined nouns to subject/object pronouns.
Change underlined Place indications to ‘er’ or ‘daar’ as appropriate.
