Whale Sensory Learning Pack

Dive into an ocean of hands-on learning with the Whale Sensory Learning Pack, part of the mulTUBles learning series.

Designed for siblings aged 1–6 years, this pack allows children to learn together using one shared sensory tub while completing activities tailored to their developmental stage. As children search, scoop, sort and discover hidden ocean treasures, they'll naturally build early literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills through play.

What's Included

1–2 Years | Toddler Explorer

A simple matching activity that encourages little learners to find and match ocean animals from the sensory tub.

3–4 Years | Preschool Learner

Children build early maths and literacy skills by using the sensory tub to find letters and objects that complete each activity.

Learning Through the Whale Pack

As children explore this ocean-themed sensory invitation, they will have opportunities to:

• Build fine motor strength through scooping, pouring and searching.
• Develop visual discrimination by matching animals, letters and numbers.
• Practise counting, number recognition and early mathematical thinking.
• Strengthen beginning reading skills through letter recognition, initial sounds and CVC word building.
• Expand vocabulary as they discover whales and other ocean animals.
• Develop concentration, persistence and problem-solving through hands-on exploration.

There is no right or wrong way to use this pack. Children may revisit activities throughout the week, spend longer exploring the sensory tub than completing the printable, or create their own games along the way.
