Surviving the Lion’s Den

The story of Daniel in the lion’s den has always stirred something deep within me. But it wasn’t until I found myself in my own “lion’s den” moments that I truly understood the weight of this account—not as a children’s story, but as a real, raw testimony of God’s power to deliver when all seems lost.

There have been seasons in my life when standing for God invited not applause but attack. Times when choosing integrity over compromise meant isolation, slander, and rejection. I know what it feels like to be surrounded by lions—the unseen forces of discouragement, betrayal, false accusation, and spiritual warfare that seek to devour one’s faith. In those dark hours, I discovered that the God of Daniel is still the same today. He still shuts the mouths of lions. He still sends His angel. He still walks with His own through the night.

This message burns urgently on my heart because I believe we live in a generation increasingly hostile to truth, righteousness, and faithfulness. Many believers today are finding themselves in modern-day dens—hostile workplaces, divided families, cultural pressure, spiritual battles—and the temptation to bow or blend in is stronger than ever.
