Acidbass
Acidbass for Korg Drumlogue
Acidbass draws inspiration from the classic silver acid box we all know and love.
It has a selectable Square/Saw oscillator, AMP decay and FILTER mod decay envelopes.
A 4-pole diode ladder filter, and pre or post filter distortion.
The slide feature is a portamento effect for overlapping notes and works nicely together with Drumlogues tied steps and motion sequencing.
It gradually adjusts the pitch of the oscillator over time from the previous note toward the pitch of the current note. It also switches the envelope over to a sustained envelope instead of a decay-only envelope for that note.
For this to work properly when using note ties with slide in the Drumlogue sequencer, you must apply slide to the first note of the sequence as well as consecutive notes.
Parameters
Acidbass has 3 pages of controls, 4 on the first 2 and 1 on the last page. They are numbered here 1-4 in the left to right order:
Page 1
- PITCH - Sets the pitch for the Drumlogue sequencer. Motion sequencing this is the normal way to create melodies on the Drumlogue.
- WAVE - Saw or Square. Defaults to Saw
- CUTOFF - Filter cutoff control
- RESO - Filter resonance control
Page 2
- AMPDEC - Controls the amplitude envelope decay
- FLTDEC - Controls the filter envelope decay
- FLTAMT - Sets the amount of modulation applied to the filter cutoff from the filter envelope
- DIST - Distortion amount. Range from -100 to +100. Negative distortion amount means the distortion is applied pre-filter, positive distortion amount means distortion is applied after the filter.
Page 3
- SLIDE - Controls the slide time and if any slide should be applied. 0 is the default setting and means slide is off. Setting slide to any value up to a 100 means slide is applied for overlapping notes.
