Camera Directing
A hundred decisions a minute, made from a wall of pictures
A live show is a hundred decisions a minute, made by one person watching a wall of pictures. Which camera now. Which one next. Is the close-up ready, is the wide clean, is the guitarist about to take a solo, has camera three lost focus. The director makes those decisions and says them out loud, in a rhythm the crew can act on, so the audience sees a show that looks inevitable.
