Dancers & Musicians Who Shaped the Movement

This will be a great standalone assignment for your Payhip store. Students will research an influential dancer, musician, or choreographer connected to Bachata, Salsa, Flamenco, or Bhangra, then explore how that artist helped shape the dance tradition.

I recommend making it a student choice project for grades 7–12, with a research worksheet, creative presentation options, reflection questions, and a 100-point rubric.

The assignment includes suggested artists such as Romeo Santos, Celia Cruz, Paco de Lucía, and Gurdas Maan.

Students can research an artist's background, cultural influence, significant performances, and contributions to dance and music, then present their findings creatively.
