Squeeze Compressor (VST3 / AU)

Squeeze is a clean, zero-latency compressor that shows you exactly what it's doing. Set the threshold, ratio and knee, then watch your signal ride the transfer curve, with input, gain reduction and output meters side by side.

WHAT IT DOES

• Threshold −60 to 0 dB, ratio 1:1 to 20:1, soft knee up to 24 dB

• Attack 0.1 to 200 ms and release 5 ms to 2 s, as true time constants

• Makeup gain, or Auto Gain for fair bypass comparisons

• Mix knob for parallel compression

• Sidechain high-pass filter, so bass doesn't pump the mix

• External sidechain input for ducking

• Zero latency, stereo-linked peak detection

WORKS IN

Any DAW that loads VST3 or AU plugins, such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, Bitwig and Logic Pro. Not available for Pro Tools (AAX).

INSTALL

Unzip, then copy Squeeze.vst3 into your VST3 folder:

• Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

• Mac: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 (for Logic, also copy Squeeze.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components)

• Linux: ~/.vst3

Then rescan plugins in your DAW.

Mac: if your DAW won't load Squeeze, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Squeeze.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Squeeze.component
