In Isaiah 11, we glimpse a vision of paradise where peace reigns supreme, a place devoid of violence. The jaguar will peacefully rest alongside the kid, and the lion will graze on straw as the ox does. Interestingly, the Bible does not mention that the lion will lie down with the lamb—a phrase popularized by songs, sculptures, and paintings—but it is absent from the text itself. Instead, we find the beautiful imagery of the jaguar lying beside the baby goat. All of creation eagerly anticipates the fulfillment of heaven on earth. Come quickly, New Earth!
