COEXIST is a cowl designed for a pair of colors: a color-changing handspun yarn along with a complementary tonal color. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight the shifting colors of handspun yarn alongside a commercially spun fingering weight yarn. The 2 colors chase after each other in intuitive stripes resulting in a reversible fabric with subtle shaping. Designed for double-loop styling, the length can be adjusted per your preference to create a shorter or longer finished piece.

YARN – COLOR 1

2-ply handspun yarn, approximately 18 WPI (wraps per inch), mixed fibers.

YARN – COLOR 2

Woolens & Nosh Superwash Targhee Fingering, 90% Targhee, 10% Nylon, 465 yd / 425 m per 115 g or similar fingering weight yarn. www.woolensandnosh.com.

Use any heavy fingering to sport weight yarn you prefer for this design. To achieve a similar look to the sample, use a color changing yarn for C1 and a coordinating or contrast color in a tonal color for C2.

Sample yarn:

C1: Odds & Ends by Into the Whirled www.intothewhirled.com, various fibers, 171 yd / 156 m (43 g)

C2: colorway Maize, 195 yd / 178 m (48 g)
