The Bell YOH-4 was originally designed for the US Army's Light Observation Helicopter program, but the Army did not choose it. Bell redesigned the airframe and successfully marketed the aircraft commercially as the five-place Bell 206A JetRanger. The Army eventually chose the modified design as the OH-58 Kiowa.
