"FIRST DRAFT" REVIEW: PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK FROM PT HOWARD
Developmental (Content) Editing, up to 20 pages
Best for first drafts and early-stage manuscripts, developmental editing focuses on the big picture. I will read your opening pages exactly the way a literary agent would and tell you what's working, where readers might lose interest, and what I'd strengthen before you submit. I will evaluate structure, organization of ideas, flow, voice and overall effectiveness. If you're considering traditional publishing, that first chapter is crucial to making a great impression on an agent! If you like my edits, I offer a discount code for you to use to cut the cost if you'd like me to do more!
Choose Developmental Editing if:
- You've completed a first draft
- You're unsure what's working and what isn't
- You need help organizing or strengthening your content
- You want professional guidance before querying agents or publishers

About Me - Pamela Toussaint Howard, Five-time published Author, Editor
Pamela Toussaint Howard is a native New Yorker who currently lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia. She developed a love for the written word and the confidence to become a writer from her dad, a printing plant supervisor at The American Banker. At home, his habit was to correct errors he found while reading The New York Times—with a bright red pen. Pamela earned a degree in journalism from Fordham University and won a coveted summer internship at Essence magazine as a junior. She went on to become their associate lifestyle editor and voiceover artist. Subsequently, she worked as a trade newspaper reporter, media spokeswoman and author and coauthor of five books with major publishers, including four with Penguin Random House! She currently loves writing daily inspirations for Guideposts publications. Pamela is passionate about helping others tell their stories with excellence and believes in getting paid to become a published author!
