Andhra Pradesh is a state located in the southeastern region of India, bordered by Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, and the Bay of Bengal. It is one of the major Dravidian-speaking regions and predominantly Telugu-speaking. The state has a rich history dating back to the Satavahana dynasty and has been a cultural crossroads between North and South India.

The Brahmin community in Andhra Pradesh has historically been an influential group in spiritual, scholarly, and cultural domains. They are divided into two main groups: Vaidiki Brahmins, and Niyogi Brahmins.

Traditionally known for mastery in Sanskrit, Vedanta, and ritual sciences. Today, many Brahmins have entered modern professions such as IT, medicine, and academia.

For this video, I have prepared the raw genomes of two Brahmins from Andhra Pradesh. Both are female. According to GEDmatch’s harappaworld calculator, the first sample clusters with meghawal and south indian brahmins, while the second sample clusters with tamil nadu brahmins and meghawal.

I ran these samples through my Trait Predictor and Betacalc tools for DNA analysis.
