The editable PPT presentation gives brief information about the memorial for African Americans displayed outside the Capitol, the Capitol's age, the two chambers inside,
the Emancipation Proclamation, two important portraits located inside, how many terms members serve, and more!
The PPT was made for interactive fun learning. As you proceed through the slides students will be asked questions to keep them in tune with what's going on.
Because the PPT is editable it allows you to add your very own notes and pictures to make the lesson longer or you could delete some of the slides to make it shorter!
The PPT presentation handout is for students to fill in as they see the PPT presentation. The answer key for the fill in the blanks is included.
There are 4 doodle notes which are blank pages in which students can write down interesting and important information.
If your students have visited the Capitol this is a great way for them to review and retain information they may have learned on their trip. If your students have not visited the Capitol, this will be exciting and new information for them to know.
