Numinous - Heart of Gold/Cœur d’or Science Exhibition
WHAT IS NUMINOUS?
A weekly 15-minute live science image exhibition. hosted online, designed from the ground up to produce awe. Each week, one curated collection of world-class scientific imagery – from the cells to the cosmos – with curatorial writing and live narration that explains the biology behind each image.
THE SCIENCE
A 2020 UCSF study found 15 minutes of intentional awe per week measurably reduced stress and increased compassion and gratitude. A 2025 randomised clinical trial confirmed it: awe reduces depression, anxiety and inflammation while sharpening memory, creativity and compassion — all at once. When 320,500 people across 26 countries were asked what brings them awe, not one mentioned their phone.
